Mueller Refrigerant Line Fitting 3/4 AC Push Coupling

The Mueller ACP10157 is a 3/4 inch AC Push coupling for flameless connection of refrigerant tubing.

Many push to connect fitting systems allow the joint to be released and the fitting reused, using a demounting tool that retracts the gripping ring so the tube can be withdrawn. Where this facility exists it is genuinely useful.

The practical value shows during installation rather than service. A joint assembled in the wrong position, a fitting oriented incorrectly, or a run that needs adjusting after a dry fit can be released and repositioned rather than cut out and replaced. On a brazed installation the same correction means cutting the joint out, cleaning back, and starting again with new fittings.

Where reuse is permitted, the manufacturer sets conditions on it. The sealing element condition must be assessed, the tube end must be re prepared or cut back to fresh material, and there is usually a limit on how many times a fitting may be reused. Those conditions exist because the sealing element deforms in service and the gripping ring marks the tube surface, and a tube reinserted so that the seal bears on the previous grip marks will leak.

Confirm the manufacturer's guidance on demounting and reuse before relying on it. Verify tube size, pressure rating, and refrigerant compatibility, prepare the tube properly, and pressure test the completed joint.
