The Lau 60772801 is a 24 inch two wing axial fan blade supplied as a replacement propeller for larger condensing units and commercial air cooled equipment.

Large diameter blades are almost always paired with slow turning motors. A 24 inch blade at 1075 RPM would produce very high tip speeds and considerable noise, so equipment using blades of this size typically runs at 825 RPM or slower. Tip speed governs the aerodynamic noise a fan produces, and reducing rotational speed while increasing diameter is the standard method of moving a large volume of air quietly.

This matters at replacement because motor speed and blade diameter are matched by design. Fitting a 24 inch blade to a motor of a faster speed class overspeeds the blade, raises noise substantially, increases motor current, and can overload the motor outright.

Large blades also demand attention to mounting. The mass at the outer radius means any imbalance generates significant force at the motor bearings, and the hub setscrew carries more load during starting.
