Lau Fan Blade 18" Clockwise 27-Degree 3-Wing

The Lau 60556101 is an 18 inch clockwise rotation, 27 degree pitch, three-wing propeller fan blade for condenser and ventilation fan applications.

Pitch angle is the angle at which the blade surface is set relative to the plane of rotation, and it is the specification that most directly governs how much air the blade moves and how much torque it demands from the motor. A steeper pitch moves more air per revolution and loads the motor more heavily; a shallower pitch does the opposite.

Because of that relationship, pitch cannot be changed independently of the motor. Fitting a 30 or 33 degree blade where 27 degrees was specified increases airflow, but it also increases motor current, and on a motor already near its rating the result is overheating and premature failure.

The pitch of the original blade is the correct specification, and where it cannot be established the equipment parts listing should be consulted.

Confirm diameter, rotation, pitch angle, wing count, hub bore, and hub depth before ordering, and measure motor running current against nameplate after fitting.
