Lau Fan Blade 18" Clockwise 30-Degree 3-Wing

The Lau 60556301 is an 18 inch clockwise rotation, 30 degree pitch, three-wing propeller fan blade for condenser and ventilation applications in HVAC equipment.

At 30 degrees this blade carries a steeper pitch than the 27 degree equivalent of the same diameter and wing count, and it moves correspondingly more air at the same rotational speed.

That additional airflow is not free. The motor must supply the torque to produce it, and running current rises accordingly. Equipment manufacturers select pitch as part of a matched design in which blade, motor, orifice, and coil are chosen together, and the pitch specified reflects the airflow the coil requires and the torque the motor can deliver within its rating.

This is why a blade should be replaced with the same pitch rather than an available alternative. Where the original pitch cannot be determined from the blade or from equipment documentation, fitting the wrong one produces either an overloaded motor or a condenser that is starved of air, and neither fault is obvious at the point of installation.

Confirm diameter, rotation, pitch angle, wing count, hub bore, and hub depth before ordering, and verify running current against nameplate afterwards.
