The Lau 60556501 is an 18 inch clockwise rotation, 33 degree pitch, three-wing propeller fan blade for condenser and ventilation applications.

Thirty three degrees is a steep pitch and represents the high-airflow end of the range for an 18 inch three-wing blade. It is specified where the condenser coil requires substantial airflow relative to the fan diameter available, typically in equipment where cabinet size constrains the blade that can be fitted.

Steep-pitch blades demand more from the motor than shallow ones, so the motor and blade are a matched pair. A motor selected for a 27 degree blade will be overloaded by a 33 degree blade of the same diameter, and the overload may not cause an immediate trip, which is what makes the substitution dangerous. The motor simply runs hot and fails months later.

Where a fan motor has failed and the blade pitch cannot be verified against documentation, comparing the motor nameplate rating against the blade actually fitted is worthwhile.
