The Lau 60557001 is a 20 inch counterclockwise rotation, 30 degree pitch, three-wing propeller fan blade for condenser and ventilation applications.
Blade depth in the orifice is a dimension that is easy to overlook and that has a measurable effect on performance. The blade should sit within the orifice throat as the equipment designer intended, typically with the blade tips inside the venturi rather than standing proud of it or recessed well below.
A blade set too high in the orifice allows air to spill and recirculate around the tips, so a portion of the air the fan moves never passes through the coil. A blade set too low restricts the discharge and adds resistance.
Blade depth is set by the hub position on the motor shaft, and it changes whenever a motor of different shaft length is fitted or the belly band is repositioned. Measuring the original position before dismantling, and reproducing it, is what preserves the designed airflow.
Confirm diameter, rotation, pitch angle, wing count, hub bore, and hub depth before ordering, and set blade depth deliberately rather than accepting wherever the hub happens to sit.
