The Lau 60558501 is an 18 inch clockwise rotation, 33 degree pitch, four-wing propeller fan blade for condenser and ventilation applications in HVAC equipment.

Combining four wings with a 33 degree pitch produces a high-airflow blade for its diameter, which is the configuration chosen where a compact cabinet limits blade size but the condenser coil still requires substantial air.

It is also the configuration that places the greatest demand on the motor for a given diameter. Both the additional wing and the steeper pitch increase torque requirement, and a motor sized for a three-wing shallow-pitch blade would be substantially overloaded by this one.

The practical implication for service work is that blade and motor must be replaced as a matched pair when either is substituted. Fitting an available blade of different specification to an existing motor, or a universal motor set to a convenient tap behind an existing blade, breaks the pairing and produces a fault that appears weeks later as an overheated motor.
