The Lau 60772501 is an 18 inch two wing axial fan blade with a 28 degree pitch, used as a replacement propeller in condensing units and air cooled equipment.

Two wing blades and four wing blades of the same diameter serve the same function but achieve it differently. A two wing blade presents less total blade area, so for equivalent airflow it either runs at a higher pitch or a higher speed. Manufacturers select between them based on the airflow required, the motor speed available, and the sound level the equipment must meet.

Two wing designs are common where the motor turns at a moderate speed and the blade can be given a generous pitch to compensate for the reduced blade area. They also tend to cost less and are simpler to balance, having only two masses to reconcile rather than four.
