Product Highlights
Description
The Lau 60719601 is a 16 inch four wing axial fan blade with a 27 degree pitch and counterclockwise rotation, supplied as a replacement propeller for condensing units and air cooled equipment.
Rotation designation causes more ordering errors than any other fan blade specification, largely because different sources describe it from different viewpoints. The industry convention for condenser fan blades is to state rotation as viewed from the front of the blade, meaning the side facing away from the motor, which on a top discharge condenser is the side facing the sky. A blade fitted with the wrong rotation still spins, but the pitched wings then push air in the reverse direction, and the unit draws air in through the discharge opening instead of across the coil.
The symptom is easy to recognise. The unit runs, the fan turns, but head pressure climbs and the coil never rejects heat properly. Checking discharge direction by hand at the top of the unit confirms it in seconds.
Four wings at 27 degrees is a moderately aggressive combination that moves substantial air. The wing count and pitch together determine motor loading, so both must match the original.
Verify rotation, diameter, pitch, wing count, and hub bore against the blade being removed before ordering.
