Lau Fan Blade 16" Clockwise 33-Degree 4-Wing

The Lau 60760501 is a 16 inch four wing axial fan blade with a 33 degree pitch and clockwise rotation, supplied as a replacement propeller for condensing units and air cooled equipment.

Combining a 16 inch diameter with a 33 degree pitch across four wings produces one of the higher airflow configurations in the standard condenser blade range. Airflow capability of this order is specified where the coil face area is large relative to the fan opening, or where the equipment is rated for higher ambient operating temperatures and needs additional heat rejection.

High airflow blades are correspondingly demanding on the motor. Power required rises steeply with both pitch and diameter, so this blade should only be fitted where the equipment originally used the same specification. The motor supplied with high airflow blades is normally rated accordingly, and fitting this blade to a motor sized for a lower pitch will overload it.

Balance is also more critical as blade energy increases. A blade with an accumulation of dirt on one wing, or with slight distortion from handling, produces vibration that transmits into the motor bearings and the equipment cabinet.

Handle the blade by the hub rather than the wing tips to avoid bending. Confirm diameter, pitch, wing count, rotation, and bore before ordering, and verify motor amperage after fitting.
