Lau Fan Blade 16" Clockwise 23-Degree 3-Wing

The Lau 60717101 is a 16 inch three wing axial fan blade with a 23 degree pitch and clockwise rotation, used as a replacement propeller in condensing units, condensers, and air cooled equipment.

Three specifications must all match when replacing a fan blade: diameter, pitch, and rotation. Diameter is set by the fan orifice and guard, pitch determines how much air the blade moves per revolution and therefore how hard the motor works, and rotation must agree with the motor. Substituting any one of the three produces a fan that either moves the wrong volume of air or loads the motor incorrectly.

A 23 degree pitch is a moderate setting typical of residential and light commercial condensers where the blade works against very little static pressure. Blades of this pitch move a useful volume of air without drawing excessive motor current.

The blade mounts on the motor shaft through a centre hub secured by a setscrew. Hub bore diameter must match the motor shaft, and the blade must be positioned so it sits correctly within the fan orifice, since a blade set too high or too low loses performance and can contact the guard.
