The Lau 6130610001 is a 26 inch three blade counterclockwise axial fan propeller used in large condensing units, commercial condensers, and industrial air cooled equipment.

At 26 inches this is among the larger blades in the standard replacement range, and its size introduces handling considerations that do not arise with smaller propellers. The wings are long, relatively thin, and unsupported at the tips, which makes them vulnerable to bending during shipping, storage, and installation.

Distortion is not always obvious to the eye. A wing bent by a few degrees at the tip looks acceptable on the bench but alters both the airflow that wing produces and the balance of the assembly. The result after installation is vibration and reduced airflow, often diagnosed as a motor fault.

Inspect a large blade before fitting by sighting across the wings from the hub outward, comparing each wing against the others for pitch and for any twist. Store blades flat or hung by the hub rather than stacked with weight on the wings, and carry them by the hub.

Counterclockwise rotation must be confirmed against the motor. Verify diameter, wing count, rotation, pitch, and hub bore against the blade being removed, and check that the replacement sits at the correct depth within the fan orifice.
