Yellow Jacket Access Valve Seal Right Adapter 90-Degree

The Yellow Jacket 19209 is a 90 degree Seal Right adapter providing an angled sealing connection to service ports on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.

Angled adapters exist for a practical reason that anyone who has worked in a congested condensing unit will recognise. Service ports are frequently positioned close to the cabinet wall, adjacent to the compressor, or behind other components, and there is simply not enough clear space along the port axis for a straight adapter with a hose attached to it.

Forcing the connection has consequences. A hose bent sharply at its fitting suffers stress at exactly the point where its reinforcement terminates, which is where hoses commonly fail. The bend also restricts flow, which matters during evacuation and recovery where the whole objective is to minimise restriction.

Redirecting the connection through 90 degrees at the port allows the hose to leave in a workable direction, protecting the hose and keeping the flow path reasonable.

Sealing performance is the other half of the requirement. An adapter that solves the access problem while leaking under vacuum has traded one problem for a worse one.
