NAVAC 2IN1 Valve Core Removal Tool NVR2

The NAVAC NVR2 is a two in one valve core removal tool that allows Schrader cores to be extracted and replaced while the system remains under pressure.

Two in one designs combine the core removal function with a full bore service connection in a single body, so the tool remains in place after the core is withdrawn and serves as the connection point for recovery, evacuation, and charging. This removes a step from the process and eliminates one more potential leak point compared with arrangements requiring separate components.

The value of removing cores at all comes down to flow. Both evacuation and recovery are limited by the smallest restriction in the path, and an installed Schrader core is almost always that restriction. Removing it can reduce evacuation time on a typical system by a large margin, and the effect grows with system size and line length.

Deep evacuation matters more with contemporary refrigerants than it did with older ones, because POE lubricants are hygroscopic and absorb moisture readily. Reaching and holding a low vacuum, then confirming it holds with the pump isolated, is the only reliable evidence that moisture and non condensables have been removed.

Confirm port size and thread compatibility before use, maintain the tool's internal seals, and leak check the core and port after refitting.
