Yellow Jacket Access Valve Adapter 1/4" Female Quick

The Yellow Jacket 19110 is a 1/4 inch female quick coupler adapter used to convert service connections between threaded and quick connect arrangements.

Service work regularly requires reconciling connection types that do not natively match. Equipment of different ages, from different manufacturers, and designed for different refrigerants uses a range of port and fitting standards, and a technician arriving with a hose set that does not match the equipment cannot proceed without an adapter.

Adapters solve this, but each one added to a connection introduces another sealing interface and another potential leak point. A stack of three adapters between hose and port has three opportunities to leak, and on evacuation work each of them can admit air.

The practical discipline is to use the minimum number of adapters that achieves the connection, to keep their sealing surfaces clean, and to verify the assembled hose set holds vacuum before relying on it. A hose set that will not pull and hold a vacuum in isolation will not permit a reliable evacuation of any system it is connected to.

Quick couplers additionally reduce the refrigerant lost at each disconnection compared with a threaded connection broken under pressure.

Confirm thread size, gender, and coupler standard against the equipment and hoses in use. Inspect and replace internal seals as they wear.
