Uniweld Access Valve EZ Turn Straight 1/4" EZAB

The Uniweld EZAB is a straight 1/4 inch EZ Turn access valve used to provide a permanent service connection on refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

Access valves are commonly needed where equipment was supplied without adequate service ports, where an existing port has been damaged, or where a technician needs a reading from a point in the circuit that the factory ports do not reach. A permanently installed valve at a strategic point converts a system that is difficult to diagnose into one that can be read directly.

The choice of location deserves thought before installation. Suction and liquid line readings taken close to the compressor and close to the metering device give the most diagnostic information, allowing superheat and subcooling to be established accurately. A port positioned merely where it was convenient to fit may give readings that are difficult to interpret.

The valve must also be installed so that its cap can be fitted and removed, since the cap is a sealing component on most designs and a port that cannot be capped will leak.

The straight body suits locations with clear access along the line.

Confirm the connection type, size, and pressure rating against the refrigerant and system in use. Leak test thoroughly after installation, and fit the cap with its gasket in place.
