The Tweco TWE9425-1100 is a 1-MPC cable connection, full connect, for 4, 2 and 1 AWG, one each male and female.

The MPC is a quick disconnect for welding cable and it solves a problem that gets solved badly otherwise.

Welding leads are long, heavy, and awkward, and they frequently need to be extended, shortened, or reconfigured. The alternatives to a proper connector are all bad: twisting bare conductors together and taping them, bolting lugs face to face, or simply running a longer cable than needed. Every one of those is a resistance point that heats, and a taped joint in a puddle is an electrical hazard as well.

An MPC is a rotating cam connector that mates two cables into a proper high-current joint, insulated, in a couple of seconds. It comes apart just as fast.

The AWG range — 4, 2 and 1 — is the fitment and it is a hard limit. The connector's barrel is sized for the conductor, and a cable outside the range either will not seat or will not grip. That connection carries the full welding current, and a poor grip means heat at the joint.

Full connect means both halves supplied.

The joint must be clean and tight. A dirty MPC is a hot MPC.
