Diamond Lead Reels DLRSBD12BLK Welding Lead Reel Heavy-Duty Steel Black 12 Inch

The Diamond Lead Reels DLRSBD12BLK is a heavy-duty welding lead reel with a 12 inch reel size and swivel base, holding 200 feet of 1/0 cable or 175 feet of 2/0. Black powder coated steel, zinc coated hardware, 1/2 inch terminal connection, supplied 1 each.

This pairs the longest reach in the range with a swivel base, and the two specifications reinforce each other. Long leads are exactly where cable drag hurts most: 200 feet of cable being dragged around a structure applies real side load at the reel, and a fixed reel forces that cable across its edge every time the welder works off-axis. The jacket abrades, and on a lead this long the replacement cost is substantial. A swivel lets the reel face the work so cable pays out and rewinds straight.

The 200 feet of 1/0 or 175 feet of 2/0 capacity is what buys working distance — every foot of lead is a foot the truck does not have to be moved, and repositioning a rig is the biggest time cost in field welding.

The 1/0 versus 2/0 decision is a genuine trade: 2/0 carries current with less voltage drop over a long run, while 1/0 gives 25 more feet on the same drum.

The reel is electrically isolated, keeping welding current out of the reel body and the truck.

Applications include truck mounted welding rigs, pipeline welding, and field construction.
