This is the largest configuration in the fixed-base range and it pairs maximum reach with a side-by-side layout. The 12 inch drums carry 200 feet of 1/0 or 175 feet of 2/0 each, which is genuine working distance — enough that a welder can reach a run of joints without the rig being repositioned, and repositioning a truck is the single largest time cost in field welding.

The side-by-side arrangement keeps both reels low and both cable ends at the same working height rather than stacking one above the other.
