Diamond Lead Reels DLRFBSS12BLK Welding Lead Reel Heavy-Duty Side-By-Side

The Diamond Lead Reels DLRFBSS12BLK is a heavy-duty side-by-side welding lead reel with a 12 inch reel size, holding 200 feet of 1/0 cable or 175 feet of 2/0. It is black powder coated steel with zinc coated hardware, a 1/2 inch terminal connection, supplied 1 each.

This is the largest configuration in the fixed-base range and it pairs maximum reach with a side-by-side layout. The 12 inch drums carry 200 feet of 1/0 or 175 feet of 2/0 each, which is genuine working distance — enough that a welder can reach a run of joints without the rig being repositioned, and repositioning a truck is the single largest time cost in field welding.

The side-by-side arrangement keeps both reels low and both cable ends at the same working height rather than stacking one above the other. On a 12 inch reel that matters more than on a 10 inch: a stacked pair of 12 inch drums makes a tall assembly, and the upper cable end ends up at an awkward reach. The cost is bed width, so measure the vehicle before ordering.

Both reels are electrically isolated, keeping welding current in the cable rather than allowing it a path into the reel body and the truck.

The 1/0 versus 2/0 choice is a trade between reach and current-carrying capacity over long leads.

Powder coated steel with zinc coated hardware handles permanent outdoor mounting in weather and road salt.

Applications include truck mounted welding rigs, pipeline welding, and field construction.
