Diamond Lead Reels DLRFBD10BLK Welding Lead Reel Heavy-Duty Steel Black 10 Inch

The Diamond Lead Reels DLRFBD10BLK is a heavy-duty welding lead reel with a 10 inch reel size and a fixed base, holding 150 feet of 1/0 cable or 125 feet of 2/0. It is black powder coated steel with zinc coated hardware and a 1/2 inch terminal connection, supplied 1 each.

The cable capacity figures are the specification that determines whether this reel suits your rig, and the two numbers tell a story worth reading. The same drum holds 150 feet of 1/0 or only 125 feet of 2/0 — because 2/0 is the heavier cable, and heavier cable takes more drum space. Choosing between them is a real decision: 2/0 carries more current with less voltage drop over distance, which matters on long leads, while 1/0 gives more reach on the same reel.

Electrical isolation is the engineering that defines a proper welding lead reel. The reel is insulated so welding current stays in the cable rather than finding a path into the reel body and the vehicle it is mounted to.

The fixed base is the simpler and more rigid mounting — the choice where the reel's working direction does not change and a swivel would only add a wear point.

Zinc coated hardware and powder coated steel address the reality that this reel lives outside on a truck in weather and road salt.

Applications include truck and trailer mounted welding rigs, field welding, pipeline work, and mobile service operations.
