Rust-Oleum RSOV2175838 Spray Paint V2100 High Performance 15 oz Chestnut Brown

The Rust-Oleum RSOV2175838 is V2100 high performance spray paint, enamel, 15 oz aerosol, chestnut brown, gloss, 20 minute dry time, 6 per case.

Chestnut brown carries no code assignment, which makes it worth explaining what the non-safety colours in a range like this are actually for.

They are for matching. An industrial facility is full of equipment that arrived painted a manufacturer's colour, and every piece of it eventually gets scratched, welded on, modified, or repaired. When it does, someone needs paint that matches — and the alternative to matching is repainting the whole machine.

A 15 oz aerosol is exactly the right tool for that job. It sprays a small area with no equipment, no cleanup, and no mixing, and a case of six lives in a maintenance store for the next occasion.

Which is what the odd colours in a range like this are: the ones that match something. Brown, in particular, is a common colour on older industrial equipment, conveyor structure, and machinery from an era when everything was brown or grey.

The aerosol trade-off is honest — a 15 oz can holds modest paint, most of it being solvent and propellant. For touch-up it is unbeatable; for area, buy bulk.

Enamel cures by oxidation over days. The 20 minute figure is dry-to-touch.
