Purdy KRY14P240024 Extension Poles Pole+ 2ft-4ft Aluminum/Fiberglass

The Purdy KRY14P240024 is a Pole+ extension pole, 2 ft to 4 ft, in aluminium and fiberglass, case quantity 3.

An extension pole is a safety device that gets bought as a convenience item, and the distinction is worth making. The alternative to a pole is a ladder, and ladders are among the most reliable sources of injury in the trades. Every ceiling, every high wall, every reposition is a climb, a move, and a climb — and the accident happens on the reposition, when someone stretches instead of getting down.

A pole keeps the painter on the ground. That is the whole argument, and it also happens to be faster.

The aluminium and fiberglass construction is the specification worth reading. Fiberglass is non-conductive, which matters enormously for anyone painting near overhead conductors or in electrical spaces — an aluminium pole near a live line is a fatality mechanism, and painters do work near lines. A pole that combines both materials should be checked against the manufacturer's electrical rating before being relied on near power.

The 2 to 4 ft range is the short pole — for ceilings at normal height and high walls, rather than stairwells and atriums.

The case quantity of 3 identifies contractor buying.

Applications include interior and exterior painting, ceilings, high walls, and floors.
