Purdy KRY14C810600 White Dove 4.5 In

The Purdy KRY14C810600 is a White Dove 4.5 inch x 3/8 inch nap jumbo mini trim roller kit, 4 pieces.

The jumbo mini format is the reason this exists. At 4.5 inches it is too small for a wall and far too large for a brush — which is exactly the gap it fills. Doors, cabinets, shelving, trim, small panels, and tight areas between fixtures all need rolling, and a 9 inch roller cannot get into them while a brush leaves brush marks.

Jumbo mini refers to the core diameter: larger than a standard mini roller, which means it holds more paint and, critically, accepts standard-diameter frames rather than the thin ones.

White Dove is Purdy's woven fabric and it is chosen for finish. Woven covers shed almost no lint and lay a very smooth film — which matters enormously on doors and cabinets, where the surface is inspected at close range in good light and a single fibre in the finish is a defect.

The 3/8 inch nap suits smooth and lightly textured surfaces, which is what trim and cabinetry are.

The 4-piece kit makes this a complete start.

Applications include doors, cabinets, trim, shelving, and furniture.

Users include painters, decorators, and cabinet finishers.
