Rust-Oleum RSO2326402 Striping Paint Traffic Marking High Performance 1 gal

The Rust-Oleum RSO2326402 is high performance traffic marking striping paint, 1 gal, blue, flat, 2 per case.

Blue is the specification and in a facility's floor marking scheme it carries meaning rather than preference.

Floor marking is a communication system. Under the colour conventions most plants follow, aisles, work cells, storage, hold areas, and hazards each get a colour, and the scheme is what lets someone who has never been in the building read the floor. Blue conventionally designates materials and components — work in progress, raw stock, staging — as distinct from the aisles and the hazard markings.

That only works if the scheme is documented and applied consistently. A plant that marks by whatever is in the cupboard has painted lines and no system.

Flat is the correct finish and it is not an economy. A glossy floor is a slip hazard, and a glossy line under plant lighting throws glare that makes it harder to read, not easier.

Traffic marking paint is formulated for the specific abuse a floor takes: forklift tyres, foot traffic, and abrasion, applied to concrete rather than to steel.

The gallon container suits a striping machine or a roller.

Surface preparation determines everything. Paint on a dusty or sealed floor lifts.

Applications include plant floor marking, aisles, and work cells.
