Osborn OSB99012 Crimped Wire Wheel

The Osborn OSB99012 is a crimped wire wheel with a medium face, 6 inch outside diameter, .008 inch steel wire, 2 inch arbor hole, clamshell packaged.

The 2 inch arbor hole is the specification that matters most and it is easy to miss: this is a bench or pedestal grinder wheel, not an angle grinder brush. The rest of this range uses a 5/8-11 threaded arbor, which is the angle grinder standard. Two inches plain-bore is a different machine, and there is no adapting between them.

That changes how the tool is used entirely. A bench grinder brush is stationary and the work is brought to it — parts, small components, hardware — where an angle grinder brush goes to the work.

Crimped rather than knot is the other defining specification. Crimped wire is left as individual wavy filaments that flex on contact and sweep the surface.
