Description
The Nidec/Emerson 1860H is a 1/4 horsepower, 1075 RPM condenser fan motor supplied in a configuration suited to a wider range of outdoor fan applications than the base model.
Condenser fan motors mount to the top panel of the condensing unit by one of several arrangements: a bolt-through pattern in the motor end bell, a bracket clamped to the motor body, or a set of mounting studs. The arrangement must match what the cabinet provides, or an adapter bracket must be used.
Shaft length is equally important and equally easy to get wrong. The shaft must be long enough for the fan blade hub to sit at the correct depth in the discharge orifice, since blade position relative to the orifice has a direct effect on airflow. A blade sitting too high or too low in the opening loses performance even though everything else is correct.
Measure the original motor's shaft from the mounting face before ordering rather than assuming a standard length.
The motor requires a run capacitor of the specified value.
