Nidec/Emerson Condenser Fan Motor 1/3H 1075 2

The Nidec/Emerson 1861H is a 1/3 horsepower, 1075 RPM condenser fan motor supplied for outdoor fan replacement across a range of condensing unit applications.

The run capacitor is a required companion to any PSC condenser fan motor, and it should be replaced at the same time as the motor as a matter of routine. The reasoning is economic rather than technical: the capacitor costs a small fraction of the motor and of the labour to attend, it has been operating in the same harsh conditions for the same number of years, and if it has degraded it will shorten the life of the motor just fitted.

Where the fan motor is served by one section of a dual capacitor, the whole dual capacitor is the item under consideration, and its compressor section should be measured before deciding.

It is also important to check that the new motor's required capacitance matches what is installed, since a universal replacement motor frequently specifies a different value than the OEM motor it replaces.

Confirm horsepower, RPM, voltage, rotation, frame diameter, shaft diameter and length, mounting arrangement, and capacitor rating before ordering. Verify running current against nameplate after installation.
