Nidec/Emerson Condenser Fan Motor 1/4 HP 1075 RPM

The Nidec/Emerson 3736H is a 1/4 horsepower, 1075 RPM condenser fan motor supplied for outdoor fan replacement across a range of air conditioning and heat pump condensing units.

Lead length and exit position are practical details that decide how straightforward an installation is. Condenser fan motor leads must reach from the motor, mounted in the top panel, down to the electrical compartment at the side of the cabinet, and they must be routed clear of the fan blade and away from hot refrigerant lines.

A replacement motor with leads shorter than the original requires a junction, which introduces connections in a wet location and should be made with weatherproof connectors rather than ordinary wire nuts. Leads longer than necessary must be secured so they cannot be drawn into the blade.

Check lead length against the original before ordering where the routing is long or awkward.

The motor requires a permanently connected run capacitor of the specified value, and the capacitor should be measured or replaced at the same time.

Confirm horsepower, RPM, voltage, rotation, frame diameter, shaft diameter and length, mounting arrangement, and capacitor rating before ordering, and verify running current against nameplate on completion.
