Markal MRK80220 B Paintstik Solid Paint Marker White

The Markal MRK80220 is a B Paintstik solid paint marker, white, 12 per dozen and 12 dozen per case.

A solid paint marker is genuinely different from a marker pen and the difference is where it works.

A felt marker needs a clean, dry, room-temperature surface. Industrial steel is none of those things: it arrives oily from the mill, wet from the yard, coated in scale and rust, and frequently hot. A marker pen on any of that either skips, beads up, or wipes off with the next glove that touches it.

A Paintstik is solid paint in a crayon form. It is pushed onto the surface and it goes on through oil, water, rust, and scale, because it is depositing paint rather than relying on a solvent to wet the surface. Once it skins over it stays put — through weather, through handling, through a trip on a truck.

That permanence is the point. A mark on a beam that has to survive from the fabrication shop to the erection crew is a mark that has to survive months.

White is the choice for dark surfaces — rusty steel, plate, castings — where a darker mark disappears.

Note the packaging: 12 per dozen, 12 dozen per case. Confirm the order unit.
