The JAZ JAZ44762P is a stringer bead twist knot wheel, 7 inch, with 76 knots, in steel, with a 5/8"-11 arbor hole, rated to 9,000 max RPM, in clamshell packaging.

At 7 inches this is the largest stringer bead wheel in the JAZ range and the 9,000 RPM rating is the number that matters most. Compare it across the range: 4-1/2 inch at 15,000, 6 inch at 12,500, 7 inch at 9,000. The rating falls as diameter rises because rim speed climbs with diameter, and every wheel has a rim speed it cannot exceed intact.

That makes this wheel a real mismatch on a small fast grinder. A 7 inch wheel needs a 7 inch grinder — machines built for larger wheels turn slower by design, for exactly this reason. Mounting it on a 4-1/2 inch grinder running 11,000 RPM is running it 20 percent past its rating.

The 76 knot count is the highest in the range, which at 7 inches means dense, consistent cutting at production rates — this is a wheel for a shop cleaning welds all day.

The stringer bead geometry concentrates knots into a narrow band, driving energy into the joint root and toes rather than the parent metal.
