The Flange Wizard FLWWW-19 is an extra-large Wizard pipe wrap, for pipes 12 inch to 48 inch in diameter.

At 12 inch to 48 inch this is the big-bore wrap, and the case for using one gets stronger as the pipe gets larger. The error introduced by marking a line freehand around a circumference scales with that circumference: on a 2 inch pipe a wandering line is a small problem, on a 48 inch pipe it is a cut that misses by inches by the time it comes back around. There is more distance for the error to accumulate over, and the fitter cannot see the start of the line from where they are finishing it.

The wrap gives a true plane perpendicular to the pipe's axis. Wrapped with its edges aligned, its edge is the line to mark.

Large-diameter pipe is also where a bad cut costs the most. A 48 inch section is not something one person repositions to try again, and the material is expensive.

Wraps are consumables — used against torches and grinders, they tear and get replaced. The Flange Wizard wrap display carries this size four deep, reflecting that large-bore work is a smaller share of the total than small and medium.
