The Flange Wizard FLW24219-CBG is a multi-purpose Chariot beveling guide.

The Chariot is a torch guide, and the problem it solves is the oldest one in flame cutting: a hand-held torch produces a hand-held cut. Freehand, the operator has to hold the tip at a constant standoff and travel at a constant speed along a line they cannot see clearly through a dark lens. The result is a wandering, ragged edge that needs grinding before it can be welded — and grinding a bad cut takes longer than making a good one.

The Chariot rides on the work and carries the torch, holding the standoff constant and rolling along a straight edge, a radius, or around a circle. The cut becomes a machine cut made by hand.

The beveling capability is what elevates this above a plain guide. A bevel is the angled edge preparation a welded joint needs so the weld can reach the root of the joint rather than sitting on top of it. Cutting a consistent bevel angle freehand across a long edge is genuinely difficult; a beveling guide holds the angle for the length of the cut.
