The Flange Wizard FLWMSB202 is a switchable magnetic block set, supplied as two blocks, fitting straight edges and squares for use as a cutting guide.

The two-block set is the practical unit and the reason is geometry. A straight edge held by a single magnetic block pivots around that block — it is anchored, but it is not fixed. Two blocks, one at each end, define a line and hold it. That is why this set exists alongside the single MSB201, and why Flange Wizard includes a pair rather than one in both the 8910 Burning Guide case and the 8910-P Plasma case.

The switchable magnet is what makes the blocks workable. A permanent magnet strong enough to resist a torch operator leaning on a straight edge is a magnet that has to be fought off the plate afterward, usually taking the straight edge's position with it. A lever switches the field on and off: it clamps hard, and it lifts away cleanly.

The reason to clamp a straight edge at all is that freehand torch cutting wanders. The edge gives the torch something to run against. And unlike a conventional clamp, a magnetic block needs no edge to reach around — it holds anywhere on a plate, including the middle of a large one.
