Flange Wizard FLWMMS505 Miter Marker

The Flange Wizard FLWMMS505 is the Miter Marker, a pipe and structural steel marker with an on/off magnetic base and levels, plus a rotating marking arm. It marks pipe from 1-1/2 inch to 18 inch and 18 inch structural beams.

The design feature that matters is that the marking arm is completely separate from the main body and carries its own 360° rotating shaft with a built-in leveling vial. That separation is what lets the operator measure around the entire pipe at the same precise angle without resetting the tool. On a conventional setup, marking a series of points around a circumference means repositioning and re-levelling at each one — and every reset is a fresh opportunity for error, with the errors accumulating around the pipe.

Because the head rotates, the tool is not limited by pipe size in the way a fixed-geometry marker is.

The telescoping arm addresses a real field problem: it extends out over existing welds, so a fitter can lay out angles on pipe that already has a joint in the way, or change the angle of a fitting to suit a specific run. Anyone who has tried to sit a tool flat on a pipe with a weld cap in the wrong place will recognise why this matters.

It comes standard with a structural steel adapter and a strap for non-ferrous pipe — the strap being what handles stainless and aluminium, where the magnet has nothing to hold.
