DiversiTech Ultralite Pad UC4040-3

The DiversiTech UC4040-3 is an UltraLite composite equipment pad measuring 40 by 40 by 3 inches, for large condensing units and light commercial equipment.

At 40 inches square this pad accommodates the largest residential condensers and smaller commercial units, with margin for working around the equipment during installation and service.

The composite construction is particularly appropriate at this size and load. A large, heavy unit concentrates substantial weight on its base rails, and a pad that flexes under that load transfers the deflection into the equipment, taking it out of level. The mass and rigidity of a composite pad resist this, and also resist the wind loading that a large exposed unit imposes on its base.

Handling requires two people at this size, though the pad remains substantially lighter than a concrete slab of the same dimensions, which would require lifting equipment.

Ground preparation determines long term performance more than any other factor. Excavate to firm subgrade across the full pad area, bed on compacted gravel rather than sand or soil, compact it properly, and check level in both directions once the equipment is set and its weight is bearing on the base.

Elevation above grade keeps the coil clear of standing water, snow accumulation, mulch, and vegetation.

Applications include residential and light commercial condensing units, heat pumps, and ground mounted mechanical equipment.
