DiversiTech Condenser Pad 36"X36"X3" EL3636-3

The DiversiTech EL3636-3 is an E-Lite plastic equipment pad measuring 36 by 36 by 3 inches, sized for larger residential and light commercial condensing units.

A 36 inch square pad accommodates the larger cabinets found on higher capacity equipment, typically four and five ton condensing units and heat pumps, and on high efficiency models whose coil area demands a bigger footprint than their nominal capacity would suggest.

Larger units make correct installation more consequential rather than less. A bigger condenser is heavier, imposing greater load on the subgrade, and its greater height makes it more sensitive to being out of level: a given angular error translates into more displacement at the top of the cabinet, and a unit that leans is both unsightly and more susceptible to being disturbed. Compressor oil return is the functional concern.

Subgrade preparation is therefore the determining factor. Excavate to firm ground, bed on compacted gravel, and check level in both directions after placement and again after the unit is set, since the weight of the equipment will reveal any inadequacy in the base.

The plastic construction remains far lighter than an equivalent concrete slab at this size, which is where the weight advantage matters most for handling and transport.
