The DiversiTech 230-B2M is a wall mounting bracket rated to 165 pounds, used to support condensing units and outdoor equipment on a vertical wall.

Wall mounting an outdoor unit is chosen where ground space is unavailable, where flooding or snow accumulation makes a ground mount impractical, or where elevating the unit deters damage and theft. Mini split condensers are commonly mounted this way.

Load rating is the first specification to confirm, and it must be checked against the operating weight of the unit rather than its shipping weight. The difference includes refrigerant charge and, more importantly, the dynamic loads the equipment produces. A compressor starting and stopping applies forces well above the static weight, and those forces are applied thousands of times a season.

The substrate is where wall mounts most often fail.
