DiversiTech Line Set Cover 6" 90 Long Bend 230-LFB6

The DiversiTech 230-LFB6 is a six inch ninety degree long bend fitting for larger line set cover systems.

Channel size is determined by the total bundle the cover must enclose, not by the tubing diameter alone. The bundle typically comprises the suction line with its insulation, the liquid line, the interconnecting control cable, and on many installations the condensate drain as well. Insulation thickness in particular is easy to underestimate, and a suction line with a substantial insulation wall occupies far more space than the copper size suggests.

Six inch channel is specified for larger equipment, for multi zone systems where several line sets share a route, and for commercial installations with correspondingly larger tubing.

Selecting a channel that is too small produces predictable problems. The installer compresses the insulation to make the bundle fit, which reduces its thermal performance and creates condensation points. Or the cover will not close properly and is fastened under tension, which distorts it and opens gaps at the joints.

Measuring the assembled bundle before selecting cover size, rather than working from the tubing schedule, is the reliable approach.

Fittings must match the channel size exactly, since manufacturers' systems are not cross compatible.

Confirm channel size, bend orientation, and system compatibility before ordering. Arrange all joints to shed water, and seal terminations and penetrations.
