DiversiTech Line Set Cover " 90 Insidelbow 230-EB3 3

The DiversiTech 230-EB3 is a three inch ninety degree inside elbow for line set cover systems, used where a run turns into an internal corner.

Inside and outside elbows are not interchangeable, and confusing them is a common ordering error. An inside elbow turns the run around a corner where the walls meet at an internal angle, as at the junction of two wings of a building. An outside elbow turns around an external corner, as at the edge of a wall. The geometry differs and each fitting only works in its intended orientation.

Establishing which is needed before ordering saves a return trip, and on a survey it is worth counting inside corners, outside corners, and direction changes separately.

Behind the cover, the tubing itself needs attention at every direction change. Copper has a minimum bend radius, and a suction line kinked at a corner restricts flow permanently. The restriction produces symptoms that look like a charge or metering problem and will be diagnosed as such, because the tubing is hidden inside the cover.

Forming bends with a proper bender, or using long radius fittings, prevents this.

Confirm the channel size, the corner type, and the fitting orientation before ordering. Arrange joints so upper sections overlap lower ones, and seal against water entry.
