DiversiTech Elbow Cover Line 230-AFB3

The DiversiTech 230-AFB3 is an adjustable elbow cover for three inch line set cover systems, used where a run changes direction at an angle other than ninety degrees.

Buildings rarely offer clean right angles where line sets need them. A run may cross a sloped roof edge, follow a gable, pass around a projecting feature, or simply need to shift direction slightly to reach the penetration point. A fixed ninety degree elbow cannot accommodate any of these.

An adjustable fitting solves the problem by allowing the angle to be set on site, which means one part covers a range of situations and the installer is not forced to compromise the routing to suit the fittings available.

The alternative in practice is what tends to happen without adjustable fittings: the installer either forces the cover, leaving gaps that admit water and insects, or omits the cover across the awkward section entirely, leaving the very part of the run most likely to be exposed unprotected.

Neither is acceptable on work the customer will look at for the next fifteen years.

Fit adjustable elbows so that the upper section overlaps the lower, allowing water to shed rather than collect at the joint.

Confirm the fitting matches the channel size in use, and seal joints as recommended. Check that the line set inside is not kinked at the direction change, since cover fittings do not dictate the tubing bend radius.
