The Santa Fe 4047200 Ultra V125 is a whole house dehumidifier using R-454B refrigerant, offering higher moisture removal capacity in a vertical configuration.

Sizing a dehumidifier requires assessing the moisture load rather than the floor area, and the two do not correlate reliably. A modest but damp basement with a high water table and an uncovered earth floor can present a far greater load than a much larger space that is dry.

The contributors are outdoor air infiltration, which carries humidity in during humid weather, ground moisture entering through slabs and crawl space floors, occupant activity including cooking, bathing, and laundry, and any active water intrusion.
