DiversiTech Refrigerant Refrigeration Label R410A 10-Pack

The DiversiTech 4410 is a ten pack of R-410A refrigerant identification labels for marking equipment and cylinders.

R-410A operates at substantially higher pressures than the R-22 systems it replaced, and identifying it correctly is a safety matter rather than a convenience.

Service equipment carries pressure ratings. Manifold gauge sets, hoses, and recovery equipment rated for lower pressure refrigerants are not adequate for R-410A, and connecting them to an R-410A system exposes them to pressures beyond their design. A hose failure under those pressures releases refrigerant violently.

The industry addressed this partly through physical keying, giving R-410A equipment 5/16 inch service ports rather than the 1/4 inch fittings used previously, so that lower rated hoses cannot easily be connected. Adapters exist and are legitimate where the equipment is genuinely rated, but they also make it possible to defeat the protection.

Clear labelling supports the keying by telling the technician what they are working on before they reach for a hose.

The same higher pressures mean R-410A systems require components rated accordingly throughout, including driers, fittings, and any service valves added.

Supplied as a ten pack for stocking on a service vehicle. Apply to a clean surface in a position visible when panels are removed, and confirm the label matches the system's actual charge rather than its original specification.
