OccuNomix OCCSN530 Shoulder Thinsulate Hot Rods Winter Liner

The OccuNomix OCCSN530 is a shoulder length Thinsulate Hot Rods winter liner, 6 per pack.

Shoulder length is the specification and it addresses the gap that every shorter liner leaves.

A standard liner covers the head and neck and stops. What that leaves is the join between liner and collar — and cold air, snow, and rain find it, particularly on anyone who spends time looking up or bending down, which is most trades. A shoulder length liner extends down over the shoulders and tucks under a jacket collar, closing it.

That coverage is also what makes the garment work under a hard hat rather than fighting it: the liner sits under the shell and the shoulders are covered by clothing rather than by anything that could be knocked off.

Thinsulate is the insulation and its achievement is warmth per unit of thickness. Conventional insulation traps air by loft — more warmth means more bulk, which under a hard hat is exactly what you cannot have, because a bulky liner lifts the shell off the suspension and compromises the fit. Microfibres trap more air in less thickness, so the hat still sits right.

The Hot Rods name refers to OccuNomix's warming pack system; verify whether this liner carries the pockets.

The 6 per pack quantity is crew packaging.

Applications include outdoor construction, utilities, and yards.
