The Fibre-Metal FIBF500-H5 is high performance faceshield headgear, model F500, with a 7 inch crown in a broader ratchet style, fitting over protective spectacles and using 3C headgear. The faceshield is not included. Available in bulk pack.

The 7 inch crown makes this the largest headgear in the range by a wide margin — more than double the F300's 3 inch — and the broader ratchet style goes with it. That size is a fitment specification rather than a comfort upgrade. A larger crown accommodates a wearer with more on their head, sits higher, and changes the geometry of where the shield pivots and how far it stands off the face.

Getting that right matters because a faceshield that sits wrong is a faceshield that gets pushed up. PPE that is uncomfortable does not get worn, and a shield resting on the forehead protects nothing.

The headgear is sold without a shield, which is the correct model for a consumable. The window pits, scratches, and clouds under grinding and chemical exposure and is replaced regularly; the headgear is not. One headgear can also carry different windows for different tasks.

Fits over protective spectacles is a compliance point. A faceshield is secondary protection worn over safety glasses, never instead of them.
