Honeywell Fibre-Metal FIBP2AQRW01A000 Fibre-Metal Products Cap Style Hard Hat

The Fibre-Metal FIBP2AQRW01A000 is a cap style Roughneck hard hat in fiberglass, factory assembled with Quick-Lok blocks and a 3R ratchet headband, with an 8 point swingstrap suspension, rated Type 1, in white.

The Quick-Lok blocks are the specification worth understanding. They are the accessory mounting slots on the shell that accept faceshield headgear, welding helmets, hearing protection, and lamp brackets. Their significance is that they let one hard hat become a complete integrated PPE platform: the shield or welding helmet attaches to the hat rather than being worn over it, which is what makes combined head, face, and hearing protection actually wearable. A welder in a hard hat and a separate helmet is wearing two things that fight each other.

Fiberglass is the shell material and it is chosen for environments a thermoplastic shell does not suit — sustained heat and harsh industrial conditions. Refineries, foundries, and heavy industry specify it for that reason.

The 8 point swingstrap suspension distributes impact and the hat's own weight across more contact area than a 4 or 6 point, which matters both for protection and for a shift's comfort.

Type 1 denotes top impact protection. Type 2 adds lateral protection.

The source lists classes G and C. These are different ratings — G provides limited voltage protection while C is conductive with none. Verify the class marking on the hat itself against your site's electrical requirement before issuing it.
