Honeywell Fibre-Metal FIBP2AQRW71A000 Fibre-Metal Products Cap Style Hard Hat

The Fibre-Metal FIBP2AQRW71A000 is a cap style Roughneck hard hat in fiberglass, factory assembled with Quick-Lok blocks and 3R ratchet headband, 8 point swingstrap suspension, Type 1, in blue.

Blue is one of the more commonly coded colours on organised sites, frequently designating a specific trade or role within a facility's head protection scheme — but the assignment varies by operation, and that variation is the point. There is no universal standard mandating what blue means. Each site defines its own scheme, which is why ordering hard hats is a procurement decision made against a site's documented colour code rather than a preference. A crew arriving in the wrong colour either gets turned around or quietly breaks the scheme for everyone.

The Quick-Lok blocks are the accessory mounting slots on the shell. They accept faceshield headgear, welding helmets, hearing protection, and lamp brackets, which is what allows a worker to combine head, face, and hearing protection as one integrated system rather than a stack of competing items.

Fiberglass is the shell material for sustained heat and harsh industrial conditions — refineries, foundries, and heavy industry — where thermoplastic is unsuitable.

The 8 point swingstrap suspension spreads impact and the hat's weight across more contact points than a 4 or 6 point design.

Type 1 denotes top impact protection; Type 2 adds lateral.

The source lists Class G & C. These are different ratings, and C means a conductive shell with no electrical protection. Verify the marking on the hat.
