The Milwaukee MIL48-32-5012 is a set of SHOCKWAVE 2 inch impact Torx T20 power bits, 15 pack.

The 2 inch length is the specification and it is the better choice wherever access allows — which is a point worth making, since the reflex is to buy the longer bit.

Bit length is a lever. A 6 inch bit puts three extra inches between the chuck and the tip, and every thousandth of runout at the chuck becomes wobble at the tip. It also flexes: under load a long bit twists and deflects, which lets the tip walk in the recess. That walking is what rounds fasteners out.

A 2 inch bit is stiff, accurate, and sits close to the driver. For anything in the open — decking, framing, assembly — it is the correct tool, and the 15 pack quantity reflects that these get used at volume.

T20 is the Torx size, and Torx sizes are not interchangeable. A slightly wrong bit will enter the recess and round it out under load, because Torx drives on flats and has no taper to wedge into.
