Little Giant VCMA-15ULS Condensate 554405

The Little Giant 554405 is a VCMA-15ULS condensate removal pump supplied with an integral safety switch.

The ULS designation within this range indicates the inclusion of the safety switch, and the distinction between otherwise similar model numbers is worth checking when ordering, because the difference determines whether the installation has overflow protection.

Many jurisdictions now require a means of shutting down cooling equipment on condensate overflow where the equipment is located above finished space, and a pump without a switch does not satisfy that requirement on its own. A separate float switch in the drain pan is the alternative, and on many installations both are fitted, giving protection against pump failure and against a blocked primary drain independently.
