Lau Blower Wheel 113/4D 2694111

The Lau 2694111 is an 11-3/4 inch diameter by approximately 8 inch wide blower wheel for direct-drive centrifugal blower assemblies in furnaces, air handlers, and fan coil units.

Selecting a replacement blower wheel comes down to five dimensions: outside diameter, width, bore diameter, hub position, and rotation. Outside diameter and width define the fan's performance curve, bore and hub position define how the wheel mounts to the motor shaft and where it sits axially, and rotation must match the housing and motor. All five must be correct.

Forward-curved construction gives high airflow at low tip speed, which is why it dominates HVAC indoor blower applications where noise is a consideration. The same blade geometry makes the wheel sensitive to dirt accumulation, and blade fouling is a frequent and easily overlooked cause of reduced system airflow.

Before ordering, measure the original wheel rather than relying on equipment documentation alone. Blower assemblies are often replaced over a system's service life, and the installed wheel may not match the original parts listing.

At installation, seat the set screw on the shaft flat, confirm the wheel is centred relative to the inlet ring, and verify free rotation with uniform clearance before restoring power.
