The Lau 1331606 is a 10-5/8 inch diameter by 10-5/8 inch wide blower wheel for direct-drive centrifugal blower assemblies in residential and light commercial air handling equipment.

Blower wheels of square proportion, where width approximately equals diameter, are used where relatively high airflow is required from a compact housing. Wheel width is the primary determinant of volumetric airflow at a given speed, so a wider wheel of the same diameter moves more air without increasing tip speed or noise.

Replacement is generally driven by imbalance, blade damage, corrosion, or a hub that has worn oversize on the shaft. A wheel that has been running loose on the shaft will have an enlarged bore and cannot be reliably reused even if the blades are sound; the set screw will not hold, and the wheel will eventually contact the housing.

Confirm diameter, width, bore diameter, hub position relative to the wheel face, and rotation direction before ordering. Hub position matters because it determines how the wheel sits relative to the inlet ring once the motor shaft is in place.
